TheProject Controls Specialist providesprehensive project management support
across all project phases, including initiation, planning, execution,
monitoring, and close ‑ out. This role is responsible for cost management,
schedule support, change control, progress measurement, and reporting. The
position involves close collaboration with project managers and cross ‑ functional
partners in engineering, procurement, construction, and accounting to ensure
projects meet established cost and schedule objectives.
The
Specialist develops and implements project control procedures, monitors project
performance, and analyzes data to support accurate forecasting and effective
project decision ‑ making.
Your new role
- Provide input into the Project Controls organizational structure and maintain staffing worksheets.
- Demonstrate a full understanding of overall project scope and objectives.
- Review project estimates and map them to the control Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
- Set up the control WBS and corresponding budgets in SAP.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the project controls plan.
- Review project schedules, provide input, and maintain a list of key project milestones.
- Ensure appropriate project funding is in place (e.g., AFE or equivalent approval mechanisms).
- Review schedule and cost drivers to update project time ‑ phasing for control budgets and estimate ‑ to ‑plete forecasts.
- Prepare requisitions for project materials and services.

- Apply Earned Value Management principles, rules of credit, and progress measurement methodologies.
- Track cost performance metrics to identify emerging trends or variances.
