The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), North America's third largest transit system, has introduced its new 2024-2028 TTC Corporate Plan - Moving Toronto, Connecting Communities. We are looking for a Compensation Consultant with subject matter expertise in a large and complex organization with strong interpersonal skills to join our Team!
What You Will Do
Reporting to the Manager, Compensation, you will conduct research to support the review and development of compensation policies. You will perform salary administration functions and address compensation exceptions falling outside of policy. Provide expertise and advice with respect to organizational structure and design; review requests for changes to organization structure and allocated headcount. You will work with clients on creating and updating job descriptions and evaluating jobs as well as support assigned clients with day-to-day compensation activities. Lead and participate in various projects related to compensation.
You will review data, including job evaluations, operating budgets, survey results, and provide consultative assistance to management or other staff regarding job design, restructuring, etc. You will review or collect data using various research techniques (occupational analyses, surveys, structured interviews, focus groups, and questionnaires) regarding a topic area and analyze, providing recommendations and changes as required.
As Compensation Consultant, you will interpret and provide guidance regarding policy, compensation, or other procedures as relevant to the role. Work with clients to assess compensation issues and needs, and develop a strategy to address them. You will resolve differences among parties through discussions and justifications as required. Participation in the TTC Customer Service Ambassador Program is also expected.
