Posting Information Posting Number CK53366P Position Title Police Services Auxiliary Coordinator No. of Staff Required 1 Position Type FT If Term position, enter length of Term in months N / A Position Groups Management and Exempt Division Corporate & Protective Services (DV139) Department Community Safety (DP115) Branch Police Operations Support (BR288) Organizational Information Purpose of your Position - Non Union This position supports Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Operations, is the liaison with E-Division RCMP Headquarters and is responsible for managing the RCMP Auxiliary Program in Kelowna Detachment which includes staffing, recruitment, onboarding, training coordination and scheduling.
Classification Summary - Union Duties - Union Results and Activities - Non union 1. Human Resources
- Responsible for staffing, wellness, and coordinating training
- Responsible for annual performance evaluation and performance management along with managing records of personnel, activities for auditing and inspection purposes
- Support the Auxiliary Code of Conducts, Discipline and Public complaints with the Auxiliary Constable Public Complaints Process
- Develop, inspire, hire, assess, discipline and reward Auxiliary Constables
2. Onboarding & Training
- Manage Auxiliary Constables to meet recruitment standards
- Manage training compliance in accordance with Ministry of Justice, Justice Institute of British Columbia and RCMP E-Division Commanding Officer
- Responsible for coordinating training and managing training records for inspection and audit purposes
- Responsible for maintaining Certificate of Appointment
3. Uniform, Equipment & Budget
- Manage Uniform, equipment, RCMP smartcard and Police database access for Auxiliary Constables
- Operating budget : $20,000
- Responsibility : shared
- Who has final spending authority : Police Services Operations Support Supervisor
4. Communications
- Responsible for reports and statistical data
- Managing non-enforcement community policing and crime prevention activities (Tier 1)
- Managing authorized armed accompaniment (Tier 2) and managing general duty patrol, attending calls, check stops, scene security and searches of persons (Tier 3)
- Foster strong and effective business relationships with internal and external agencies
Credentials - Union Knowledge - Non Union Significant operational police experience in a leadership position and extensive knowledge of the RCMP organization, policies, procedures and databases.
Experience in recruitment, onboarding and maintaining volunteer personnel files in compliance with RCMP policy. Skills & Abilities - Non Union Maintain confidentiality, diplomacy, tact at all time.

handle conflict resolution effectively and organizationally agile. Must be able to obtain and maintain RCMP security clearance.
