Job Description
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician (electromechanic) plays a key role in ensuring the proper functioning of our production equipment. Their expertise in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair is essential to guarantee optimal performance and efficiency across our operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform production start-ups, calibrations, and quality checks to ensure smooth operations.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Replace and adjust components such as bearings, belts, valves, and sensors.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and document interventions in GAMO.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment and participate in improvement projects.
- Troubleshoot automated systems and recommend solutions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, identify hazards, and report incidents promptly.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work area in good condition.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Diploma of Vocational Studies in electromechanics, automated systems, or industrial mechanics.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing company.
- Strong technical knowledge in welding, assembly, troubleshooting automated systems, and interpreting electrical diagrams.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Solid understanding of workplace health and safety practices, WHMIS regulations, and preventive maintenance programs.
