In the Edmonton region we have manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Sherwood Park and Nisku.
The Quality Control Inspector will work Mon-Thu nights. This role is responsible for direct examination of product to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and align with legislation and customer specifications. Requiring a high level of attention to detail, the Quality Control Inspector is responsible for strictly adhering to the organization's quality assurance procedures and policies and identifying defects and / or production errors to prevent these materials from entering the supply chain.
- Daily inspection of in process units : ensure sealing is completed, no missing parts, and all other in process inspections are of high quality.
- Daily inspection of paperwork for all in process units and report any deficiencies to Quality Supervisor.
- Complete sub assembly inspections such as : motor, coil, evap., furnace, and paint.
- Complete unit final inspections.
- Review inspection documents and make unit packages.
- Report any observed safety issues to the Safety Coach or Safety Coordinator.
- Assist with education of other inspectors and production team members.
- Inspect drawings and marking / breaking work and ensure it is correct.
- Assist marking with Engineering changes where drawings are not correct and submit to Quality Supervisor.
- Inspect all aspect of units with the appropriate forms from the beginning to the end and record all discrepancies.
- Organize all inspection documentation papers and online photos.
- Performs all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
- Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
1-3 years of quality control experience in an organization that has an established quality program.Electrical Journeyman background is required.Some formal or practical exposure to quality control concepts.Certification or currently working towards certification.Courses with a focus on quality control or quality systems.Strong ability to read shop drawings.Practical experience within a manufacturing environment.Highly motivated, self-directed, detail oriented, capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.Ability to manage change on the floor and work well with shift supervisors.Proficiency with Microsoft Office.Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
