The Role : As an RN in the Acute Care Unit, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient care plans, as well as administering medications and performing diagnostic tests.
Responsibilities :
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans by the healthcare team's policies and procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team.
- Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results to provide accurate patient assessments.
- Monitor and document patient progress, vital signs, and medical history.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and revise patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatments, and preventative care measures.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current on healthcare trends and best practices.
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.Current, unrestricted RN license in your current province.Minimum 15 months of acute care nursing experience.BLS certification required.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Please note that we are exclusively recruiting people who can legally work in Canada.
