Funeral Director

We are looking for a Funeral Director to join our team at Arbor Memorial Inc.

As a Funeral Director at Mount Lawn Funeral Home and Cemetery in Whitby, Ontario, you will provide meaningful support to families on their end‑of‑life journey by overseeing and directing all aspects of funeral services, including filing death certificates, maintaining online obituary listings, performing decedent embalming, and assisting during execution of funeral services.

Key Qualifications And Demonstrated Abilities

• Possesses a Class 1 Funeral Director’s license with at least 5 years of experience.
• Displays proven, superior arrangement, directing and embalming skills.
• Passion for customer care demonstrated in previous professional experiences.
• Self‑motivated with the ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and consistently high level of accuracy.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated strong customer service skills with the ability to partner with all levels of the organization.
• Exemplifies Arbor’s values of compassion, integrity, trust, teamwork, belonging and excellence.
• Excellent knowledge of funeral home procedures and business practices including Funeral Home Procedures Manuals.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Valid driver’s license.
