Law Clerk (Family Law)

Niman Mamo LLP has an opening for a Law Clerk (Family Law) role. This is a unique opportunity to join a modern and team-oriented family law boutique firm, and to work on some of the most prominent and interesting cases in Canada.

The successful candidate will drive service excellence through a client-centered approach in their work that supports the firm’s overall objectives to achieve the best results for our clients.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Preparing drafting and reviewing legal documents, such as:
• Affidavit of Service
• Financial Statements
• Net Family Property Statements
• Motions
• Conference briefs
• Confirmations, and correspondence
• Prepare and maintain client files
• Preparing files for court
• Obtaining and assembling disclosure
• Scheduling Lawyer’s meetings and other events
• Communications with client, opposing counsel, and third parties
• Transcription of letters, memos, and documents
• Closing files sending to storage
• Emergency Reception coverage
• General and administrative duties as required
• Photocopying/filing/binding etc.
• Manage incoming emails
• Other duties as assigned to meet business needs

Requirements

• Law Clerk certificate/diploma
• A minimum of 5 years experience in family law
