Engineering Co-op – Design Engineering
Location : Mississauga, ON, Canada (onsite)
Hourly Pay Range : $22 to $24 per hour

As our next Co‑op Student, you’ll be assisting in various needs within the Design Engineering department, including component design, tooling design, and machine design.

Support the Design team and other team members on daily engineering tasksSupport Engineering calculations and develop tools for efficient calculation output.Support the design and test of engineering prototypes.Support the root cause analysis of component failures.Technical report writingHands‑on support of components and testingSupport the development and deployment of test equipment and fixtures.Work in compliance with Johnson Electric FPS Safety, Quality, and Environmental systemsWork in compliance with SPS (Johnson Electric Production System)Interaction with production operators, technicians, and other key resources to assist with the documentation, standardization, and improvement of processes.What We’re Looking For
Working toward an engineering degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical EngineeringMechanical aptitudeExcellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skillsIndependent and self‑motivated workerCommitted to meeting deadline requirementsAble to communicate effectively at all levels of the organizationWilling and able to multi‑task and change priorities based on organizational needsStrong ability to use Microsoft Office SoftwareAble to work at a computer for extended periods of time"Can Do" attitudeComfortable working in a manufacturing environmentWillingness to be involved in hands‑on projects in the plantHow to Apply
