The Opportunity :

We are representing our client, a global leader in fluid power and motion control solutions, in seeking a dynamic Regional Sales Manager to spearhead sales efforts in the British Columbia territory. What you'll be doing :

  • Overseeing and managing OEM, Distributor, and MRO customer relationships in the assigned region.
  • Increasing sales, market share, and profit margins in the assigned region.
  • Implementing our clients corporate sales strategies.
  • Communicating market trends and product competitiveness to management and sharing new business opportunities with product managers for review.
  • Reviewing, distributing, and following up on sales leads to assigned distributors.
  • Submitting monthly reports to sales management and maintaining projects in CRM to provide information on target account updates, account activities, new projects, quotation feedback, and distributor updates.
  • Providing order status changes, forecast feedback, and other significant information related to major OEM and MRO accounts.
  • Making sales and account management calls throughout the territory.
  • Representing our client on technical and commercial issues at OEMs, Distributors, and Engineering companies.

What you'll need to be successful :

  • 5+ years industrial sales experience.
  • Experience with hydraulic systems; trouble shooting, designing, maintaining, etc.
  • Experience working with distribution partners such as large industrial MRO accounts.
  • Previous sales position with mobile hydraulic equipment OEM’s.
  • Technical degree from an accredited college or university, preferred but not required.
  • CFPHS (Certified Fluid Power Hydraulic Specialist) designation from IFPS (International Fluid Power
  • Society) a very nice to have
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical
  • procedures or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • ERP / CRM software understanding and experience.
  • Able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Ability to drive.
  • Ability to self-manage – time, activities, finances.
  • Customer Service : Responds promptly to customer needs; responds to requests for service and assistance
  • Self-starter and motivator.
  • Able to develop effective relationships with distributors, regional sales managers, and customers.
  • Proficient in customer presentations.
  • Adept with Microsoft office suite of products, outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
  • Ideally a knowledge of; Hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics, automation, fluid dynamics, the ability to read a drawing or P&ID
