Power Transformer Design Engineer

Located in Saint-Alphonse de Granby, WR Transformateur is one of the leading manufacturers of dry-type electrical transformers, with over a decade of experience. With a partially automated production line and a young, dynamic team, we consider each of our employees essential to maintaining our high standards of product quality.

Functions:

• Create various diagrams for transformer design.
• Prepare cost estimates based on the specifications.
• Act as a resource person for new product development.
• Prepare the technical design documentation.
• Check for raised system failures and ensure effective corrective measures are implemented.
• Convey the information to the 3D designer.

Skills:

• Hold a diploma related to electricity
• Have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a designer of electrical transformers (mandatory)
• Proficient in reading electrical and mechanical plans
• Master English or French
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Problem-solving skills
• Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (an asset)
• Have a good knowledge of SolidWorks software (an asset)
