As the Strategic Legislative Analyst, Logistics you will play a key part in supporting the readiness and delivery of the 2025 General Election. This work will include change management, project management, and planning high quality, innovative service delivery strategies. Primary duties include :
- Lead project team dedicated to inspecting and securing all voting stations for Election Day and Advance Vote.
- Support various logistics projects including building of election station kits, coordination of deliveries, and managing election supplies.
- Provide supervision and / or direction to partners, employees, and contract service providers.
- Identify service and process gaps and lead process reviews, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop effective working relationships and collaboration with a variety of partners, both internal and external.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and corporate policies and procedures.
- Develop and deliver training and on-boarding programs to limited term staff.
- Provide leadership with project status updates, identify issues, and propose solutions.
Qualifications
A degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Economics, Law, Geography or a related discipline with at least 2 years of experience in research, data analysis, consultation, project management and report writing.Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered.Experience working in local government and election operations will be considered an asset.Experience working in a warehousing / logistics environment considered an asset.Experience providing supervision to large project teams considered an asset.Experience interpreting and applying relevant legislation (such as the Municipal Government Act and Local Authorities Election Act) considered an asset.Success in this position requires strong communication skills, adaptability, the ability to build partnerships, facilitate change, and a high attention to detail and stress tolerance
