Job description Position : Space Planner Tenure : On-Going Location : Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Position Overview Our client, one of North America’s largest home retailers is looking for a bright, enthusiastic, Space Planner to join their dynamic team! What You Will Be Doing :

  • Develop and manage planning and analysis tools
  • Support Space Planning Team with macros and VBA / SQL scriptwriting in Excel, Access and JDA
  • Upload data into JDA and download reports from SAP
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in processes and procedures
  • Liaising closely with the merchandising team / department
  • Provide merchandise reporting and analysis for various initiatives and processes
  • Use JDA space planning software to create plan-o-grams
  • Creating computer blueprints for use by the store merchandiser
  • Using your organizational and analytical skills to strategically place products to maximize sales

Whom We’re Looking For :

  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical skills & the ability to demonstrate them
  • Understand the merchandising function in business operations
  • Merchandising experience is an asset – especially in a corporate retail office environment
  • Retail experience is an asset
  • Experience with JDA or working with plan-o-grams
  • Organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
