We live in a basement suite that has two bedrooms, living room, bathroom, kitchen, and a laundry room approx 700sq feet.We both have ADHD and the house is chaos most weeks. We try to keep on top of it with the basics but we are just so busy and its falling behind.When people are coming over we do the whole 'mad dash last minute clean' but it doesn't take care of all of the grime or dust that just exists. We are looking for someone to help keep the home neat and tidy and battle the dust bunnies that are plaguing us. Things like washing the counters, or cleaning the front of the cabinets, or dusting the decorations we forgot we had on the mantle, washing the floors, wiping the baseboards, or vacuuming inside the couch where loose change and popcorn kernels live. You get the idea. Sometimes it may also include changing the linens, throwing a load of laundry in, scrubbing the bathtub, unloading the dishwasher. or finishing folding clothes we abandoned. It could be organizing the kitchen junk drawer or you suggesting ideas or things to work more efficiently for us. We are open to your ideas. We just need HELP.Couple of things / disclaimers : Pet : We have a wonderful dog named Merlot who is a mix of Boxer / Dane / Staffy and is the sweetest thing. He will take a few minutes to get to know you and calm down from excitement. We will crate him when you are cleaning and he usually sleeps through everything. If you WANT to extend time and do 30min dog walks then we are open chatting about that! If things work out we would even be open to dog / house sitting.Surveillance : We have dog cameras in the front and back yard but not inside. Active Work from home Business : Shea works from home in the film industry and often has co-workers or clients over for meetings either on the back patio or is on zoom calls in the living room. He will stay out of your way and let you do your work.

We bring this up as we fully respect those who are recovering or choosing sobriety and we do not want to be a stumbling stone.Time : It takes us (in ADHD hyper focus mode) about 4 hours to clean the house top to bottom. So we are expecting someone to help for approx 3-5 hours (or more) every other week. We prefer Weekdays (any day Monday to Friday) during working hours 9am-5pm. Weekends are difficult for us. Rate : We can pay a range from $17-30 / hr depending on experience but we are open to negotiating. We pay cash or e-transfer. If you are super fast and thorough we will pay you a higher hourly rate. If you are slow but steady it would be a lower rate. Expect around 100 bucks per visit or 200-400 per month. As long as the work gets done we are happy. Supplies : We have a vacuum, mop & bucket, brooms & Swiffer, rags and sponges, and chemical supplies and sprays. Everything you need. Let us know if you require anything specific. Transit : We are a 10min walk from Brentwood or a 5min walk from the R5 at Hastings and Willingdon. Lots of street parking if you drive.
