As the Assistant Vice President of Specialty Market Solutions, reporting to the Senior Vice President and President of Cumis and Specialty Market Distribution, you will play a key role in driving the growth of our creditor insurance specialty solutions. In this position, you will be a motivational leader, fostering an environment that encourages the development of innovative solutions and analytical thinking within the Specialty Go-to-Market team for the next generation of creditor insurance. You will guide the team and hold them accountable for operating in a focused, swift, and efficient manner as they develop and implement solutions, engage in client implementations, and support the pursuit of new business growth and revenue targets. Your efforts will also be aimed at maximizing the profitability of creditor insurance sales across all specialty segments.
How you will create impact :
- At the helm of a dynamic cross-functional team accountable for building innovative and industry-leading creditor programs across emerging lending markets, you will be providing direction on key business decisions and for the specialty market strategy, solutioning, and implementations.
- In concert with the business development, leads, prioritizing funnel opportunities and supporting solutions for sales opportunities (ex., Proposals, discovery workshops, RFPs, etc.).
- Leading the development of lean and agile implementation processes and playbook(s), including internal process for team effectiveness and continuous improvement.
- Overseeing project governance, business casing (cost-benefit disciplines), and the reporting to executive steercos and other oversight bodies.
- Holding accountability and maintaining client relationships for signed specialty clients during the implementation phase.
- Working with internal teams to develop, align processes and establish partnership arrangements for delivery or operational handoffs.
- Leading and engaging your team to deliver strategic objectives through effective coaching and mentoring, identifying and developing emerging talent, and fostering an innovative, collaborative, and agile culture.

You have 10+ years of progressive-related experience. This includes advanced knowledge of end-to-end B2B2C complex sales process lifecycles.You have completed a Business or related degree. Or, hold equivalent experience.You have experience supporting the consultative sales process of a complex financial solution. With direct experience with creditor solutions and / or lending processes.You are great with prospective clients and know how to discover the critical insights that will drive optimal business proposals and outcomes.You understand multichannel sales models, and you have a passion for designing creditor solutions that integrate into digital lending journeys and partner ecosystems.You have in-depth knowledge of the Specialty Market distribution channels (ex. partner banks, specialty lenders, FinTech’s, lending technology platform vendors).You have industry work experience within insurance or financial service. Holding in-depth knowledge of life and disability insurance is an asset.You have a working knowledge of Agile principles. Having experience leading or participating in Agile teams to deliver iterative collaborative business value is an asset.You are an experienced people leader, well-skilled in leading teams that have successfully achieved a high-level of client satisfaction and supported revenue growth.What you need to know :
