Job description

Reporting to the Manager, Quality Reporting and Clinical Informatics Manager is responsible for collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to inform Extendicare’s corporate quality and clinical informatics strategy. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to evaluate, design, develop, and implement reports and dashboards to meet their quality and informatic needs.

You will also take on special reporting projects required by the organization from time to time. You will work as part of the Chief Medical Officer Team, reporting the Quality Reporting and Clinical Informatics Manager

This position will be located at our Head Office in Markham, Ontario and will work based on our hybrid work model.

Accountabilities

  • Develop reports that summarize data, trends, and insights to support the launch of new projects and inform changes to existing quality programs
  • Work with business units across the organization to define and implement KPIs, process and performance evaluation, service level monitoring, and outcome measures
  • Work with Operations and Corporate Quality teams to evaluate existing reports and use automation to streamline reporting processes and to improve data accuracy
  • Design and build out data repositories that enable data to be queried and extracted in an efficient manner
  • Build and maintain professional partnerships with business partners to promote teamwork and cross team collaboration

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g. Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Mathematics) or equivalent industry experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Clinical Informatics Analyst, or Financial Analyst
  • Experience with PowerBI, and / or experience with other data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • Advanced Excel (i.e. Macros / VBA, Pivot tables, conditional formatting, text to column, array formula, string operations, data links, etc.) and automated report generation capabilities
  • Knowledge of Python or other relevant scripting languages
  • Strong verbal / written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Strong attention to detail and effective organizational skills
  • Self-proficient and ability to drive change and manage multiple projects with minimal supervision
  • Occasional business travel
