Willow Square Continuing Care Centre is looking for a vibrant individual to step into the leadership role of Manager. Reporting to the Area Manager, Senior Health, you will be in a crucial role supporting patient care. As Manager, you will be the backbone of our facility, exercising autonomy to lead and manage a dedicated team. Your contribution will be instrumental in fostering an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, positively impacting the lives of residents and their families.

In addition to a competitive salary, there is a Fort McMurray allowance of up to $12,480 per year.

Description

You will have a strong emphasis on service delivery, enhance workflow, and successfully lead our Long‑Term Care department. You will possess demonstrated skills in decision‑making, coaching, mentoring, teaching, and the ability to motivate, inspire, and build confidence in others. You will bring a passion for resident‑ and family‑centered care, advocating for residents while working to meet their needs and those of their families.

You will be responsible and accountable for direction, team leadership, and organization over the activities of the facility, as well as supporting the vision, mission, and business plan of Assisted Living Alberta. The Manager is also responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating change management, promoting team development and teamwork, and coordinating staffing and clinical work.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited health related program and registration with the applicable governing body. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications

• Minimum of five years’ nursing experience in Continuing Care and/or Acute Care.
• Minimum of two years’ management experience within a unionized environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Continuing Care Accommodation Standards, Continuing Care Health Service Standards, and Accreditation Canada Standards.
• Minimum of two years’ management/leadership experience within a unionized environment.
• Preference will be given to those who have completed a Registered Nurse program and are eligible for registration with CRNA.
