Qualicare Edmonton East has immediate openings for Personal Support Workers/HCAs.
Job Summary
The Personal Support Worker/Health Care Aide works under the supervision of the Director of Care, providing personal care services to meet clients' needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care and hygiene
- Prepare meals
- Perform light housekeeping
- Accompany clients on outings
- Handle shopping and errands
- Assist with medication reminders and administration
- Support ambulation
- Provide companionship
- Follow care plans
- Documentation and charting
Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker Certificate/Health Care Aide or equivalent (including foreign-trained nurses or nursing students)
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to travel within the territory
- Access to internet and mobile phone
