As we embark on our journey to accelerate our Cloud adoption, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage our cloud infrastructure and network solutions. Knowledge of AWS is an Advantage. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the security, scalability, and performance of our cloud-based applications and services.

Responsibilities

  • Cloud Strategy Development : Lead the development of cloud strategies and roadmaps, aligning with business objectives and industry best practices.
  • Environment Setup : Configure the Azure environment, including networking, resource groups, and access controls.
  • Data Migration : Use Azure Data Migration Service to transfer data from on-premises databases to Azure SQL Database.
  • Automation : Utilize Azure DevOps and ARM templates for automating deployment and management tasks.
  • Application Deployment : Deploy the application to Azure App Service, ensuring it integrates with other Azure services.
  • Performance Optimization : Conduct performance tuning and optimization of cloud resources, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Security Governance : Establish and enforce security policies and compliance measures, conducting regular audits and assessments.
  • Mentorship : Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and development teams, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Incident Management : Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex cloud-related incidents, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration : Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather requirements and deliver tailored cloud solutions.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as cloud architecture, with at least 5 years focused on Microsoft Azure. AWS experience is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in designing and managing network solutions.
  • Certifications

  • Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Microsoft Certified : Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
  • Microsoft Certified : Azure Security Engineer Associate
  • AWS Certified : AWS Solution Architect Professional
  • Technical Skills

  • Proven expertise in Azure Cloud – experience with AWS, GCP an asset.
  • Must be Azure Certified Solution Architect and Azure DevOps Engineer.
  • Implementing and managing cloud infrastructure and services, including compute, storage, networking, and databases.
  • Must have Exp in Migrating existing on-premises applications and services to the cloud.
  • Experience in using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) to automate deployment in cloud
  • Experience in Collaborating with development teams to support DevOps practices and continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines.
  • Must have knowledge and Experience of DevOps Tool chain like Github, Jfrog, SonarCloud.
  • Must have knowledge and Experience in Observability tools like Elastic, Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana.
  • Experience in Monitoring cloud environments to ensure optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
  • Performing regular maintenance tasks, updates, upgrades and troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to cloud resources.
  • Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
