Position Summary

Our parent company, GMS Canada is currently seeking a Data Analyst. This role will use data analytics platforms, reporting tools, and visualization techniques to turn raw data into meaningful insights to support the organization in making informed decisions.

The primary function will be working cross-collaboratively with IT and Operations for the purpose of KPI’s and operational efficiency of logistics of both equipment and people.

Roles & Responsibilities

Identify, analyze, and interpret trends, patterns, opportunities in complex data sets to improve efficiency.

Data validation & process management of operational incentive and bonus programs.

Adjusting data as required to ensure it aligns with operational activities and ensuring KPI’s are based on accurate and complete datasets.

Identify and communicate data and / or technical problems, processes, and / or solutions to relevant stakeholders.

Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.

Communicate with relevant parties’ analytical insights in a timely, professional manner.

Support the continuous improvement culture through the identification of potential process / procedural improvements and / or participation on cross functional teams.

Maintain a working knowledge of how various applications operate, how they interact with one another, skills to identify errors and familiarity of the organization to contact the appropriate individual to correct issues.

Work collaboratively with various team members and departments on training initiatives ensuring each team is set up for success.

Qualifications

Experience, Education :

  • Minimum of 3 years related work experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Navision, or Microsoft Dynamics Business Central preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes :

  • Familiarity with business operations, objectives, strategies, process, and information flow.
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Skilled in creating pivot tables, graphs, and charts using data tools.
