Senior Software Developer - Mobile

This position will be focused on software development for backend-for-frontend (BFF) APIs, integration with downstreams and third-party services

Is this role right for you?

• You will collaborate closely with a team of backend API developers, Android and iOS app developers, business system analysts, and architects to work on both new features and incremental improvements to the bank’s flagship mobile apps.
• You have exceptional understanding of our programming language(s) and tools : NodeJS, TypeScript, OpenAPI / Swagger and Postman.
• You have professional experience in designing high throughput, high performance REST APIs.
• Adheres to and demonstrates coding conventions, best practices, and helps to maintain the architecture of the project.
• Able to understand issues with integration of APIs with frontend mobile / web applications and downstream applications.
• Takes the lead in reviewing others’ code, actively contributing suggestions and catching potential issues for their assigned project or scrum.
• Experience with CI / CD pipelines to build and deploy applications across environments, including Production.
• Experience with debugging production issues using Dynatrace and Splunk or similar monitoring / observability tools.
• Takes initiative to help identify, triage and resolve production (and other critical) issues.
• Very involved in feature refinement to clarifying requirements and flag potential issues.
• Work closely with a tech lead / team lead, sharing responsibilities within the scrum team
• 5+ years of experience working on large scale projects.
