Payroll Administrator

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist on behalf of our client, a respected organization in need of a skilled professional to manage complex payroll processes. Key Responsibilities :

• Process payroll across multiple provinces and international locations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
• Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws
• Administer payroll for unionized employee groups, maintaining accuracy in rates and deductions
• Oversee benefit calculations and administration, including commissions, RRSPs, pension plans, garnishments, and Worker’s Compensation Board matters
• Manage vacation accruals, leaves of absence, annual bonuses, and employee expense reimbursements
• Prepare and file T4s and Records of Employment (ROEs) in accordance with statutory deadlines
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
• Perform regular and ad hoc payroll reconciliations; support payroll accounting and reporting activities
• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role
• Strong knowledge of unionized payroll, benefits administration, and statutory reporting
• Proficiency with payroll accounting, reconciliations, and related financial documentation
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with payroll software and MS Office Suite
