They are near-shoring from their New York office and moving their operations to Montreal which is exciting news! We are currently looking for an Credit Authorization Analyst - VP.

This a chance to join a very stable environment as these roles already existed in New York before the move. They have a number of positions to fill and are hoping many will be excited to be a part of their new start in Montreal.

Title : Credit Authorization Analyst Vice President

Location : Montreal

Work model : Hybrid, 2-3 days remote work allowed

Type of position : Full time, permanent OR contract-to permanent

Salary : 110-120k +20% bonus. 4-5 weeks vacation. They offer a great benefits package. RRSP matching, you contribute 2% and they contribute 8%.

Requirements

• Reviewing and understanding Credit Approvals
• Have an understanding of the Credit Approval process.

oAbility to understand and translate the Credit Approval into the Banks Quantitative Data Model

oAbility to understand the executed Loan Documentation, especially the Credit Agreement, to look out for certain clauses that indicate borrowers, type of products, amounts, maturity dates, sub-limits that CA-CIB is involved in to ensure they are in line with the Credit Approval

oAbility to review the Closing Request submitted by the FO / MO for consistency to the executed loan structure (borrowers, products, amounts, maturity dates, sub-limits) - Modeling the signed structure in the worldwide authorizations system (BMA) and ensuring it is within the credit approval (or less risky)

oControl the Data Quality of the Authorization to allow other departments to be able to accurately monitor the Clients exposure ( ability to trigger anomalies that relate to over-limits, unauthorized products, unauthorized borrower, transactions past maturity dates, etc.).

oRecord Maintenance of the authorization ( Renewals, Increases, Decreases, Refinancing, Extensions, Annual reviews) - Investigation of anomalies from the modeling of the signed documentation structure in the authorization system.

Skills

• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to understand and translate the Credit Approval into the Banks Quantitative Data Model
• Have an understanding of commercial products (Commitment of Commitments, Term Loans, Delayed Term Loans, Revolving Credit Facilities,
• Ability to communicate with supervisor explaining the structure of the authorization as outlined in the Credit Approval and the signed documentation structure for the Operation Risk Control - Keeping the authorization current throughout the life of the transaction.
• Bachelor Degree / Commercial Back Office experience or Administration / analysis of commercial transactions
