Receptionist
Job Summary
The Receptionist demonstrates a commitment to resident safety by providing quality care in accordance with organizations vision and mission. Reporting to the General Managers or designate, the Receptionist is responsible for promoting excellent customer service in all personal interactions with visitors, families, residents and team members. This position provides clerical support to all managers and has a key role in the marketing and security of the building. The Receptionist is required to perform their duties in a manner consistent with the core values, ensure resident safety, and demonstrate customer service excellence.
Job Responsibilities
1. Responsible for providing receptionist and secretarial services to the management team;
2. Greet residents, visitors, and the general public, receive and redirect external calls and sales calls, operate and maintain all office equipment, establish and maintain resident services, respond to resident inquiries, perform basic accounting functions and provide assistance as required.
3. Responds to all resident and visitor inquiries as their first priority;
4. Promotes positive customer service principles and practices with residents, team members and visitors at all times;
5. Demonstrates behaviors in line with the core values of the organization in all verbal and written communications;
6. Handles resident inquiries diplomatically, utilizing problem solving & complaint resolution skills and ensures all complaints are forwarded to the General Manager in writing;
7. Supports the change process by providing positive messaging & clarification to residents / families / team members;
8. Supports the Director of marketing by responding to all sales inquiries (phone or drop in) and with clerical tasks related to creative follow up or computer support as requested;
9. Collects all required information from inquiries and ensures that all messages / information are communicated promptly;
10. Provides support to residents on a regular basis as required ie. re-direction, phone and verbal reminders;
11. Maintains confidentiality of all systems & correspondence related to the business;

Experience :
1. Retirement Home : 1-3 years (Preferred)
2. Receptionist : 1-3 years (Preferred)
