The Volunteer’s Role
In this volunteer role, you will contribute to the efforts of our partner the Ministry of Labor and Skills in Ethiopia (MoLS) whose goal is to create 20 million jobs by 2030.
Your main duties will revolve around developing strategic internal and external communications for fundraising while also supporting the team in increasing their knowledge about communications.

As a volunteer, you will :
- Understand the needs, and design a marketing strategy to support Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs)
- Enhance the international market presence to get into the export market
- Support the design and implementation of business plans
- Design and implement digital marketing strategies to boost the online presence
- Organize and deliver staff capacity-building training
Essential Requirements :
Degree in International Business development, business administration, management, economics or a related field
Essential Background :
A minimum of 5 years of technical experience in Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs), including a minimum of 3 years working for a national enterprise or MSME organization required.

Project - Sharing Canadian Expertise for Inclusive Development and Gender Equality (SHARE)
Cuso International will deliver the Sharing Canadian Expertise for Inclusive Development and Gender Equality (SHARE) project, with a contribution from Global Affairs Canada (GAC) over seven years (2020-2027).
SHARE aims to improve the economic and / or social well-being of the poorest, most marginalized and vulnerable people, particularly women and girls, in developing countries, to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals.
In addition to increasing the engagement of Canadians in international development and key global issues, this project will aim to increase the performance of country partners to deliver more inclusive, innovative and environmentally sustainable development initiatives that advance gender equality, in support of the action areas of Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy.

Ethiopian Women Lawyers’ Association (EWLA) is a non-profit women's advocacy group founded by Ethiopian women lawyers. Their mission is to see a country where women are equal and articulate its mission as promoting the economic, political, social and legal rights of women and assisting them in securing full protection of their rights under the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and other international human rights conventions.
