• The services of an experienced Data Analyst Services are required to support work for transformation of current data processes for IFRS9 models to a modernized and governed IT environment. Primary Responsibilities The Data Analyst Services will be analyzing various data sources that currently feed the IFRS9 model. The bulk of the work will involve tracing source data, reverse engineering, examining current ETL jobs and reviewing SAS EG transformation rules that are in use to support data flow to the IFRS9 model. The Data Analyst provider will work closely with a Data Architect to re-design automated processes for the collection, cleansing and transformation of data to generate a csv file that will be used by a replacement model.

Specific Project Requirements

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated experience in SQL programming is required.
• Demonstrated experience in SAS EG programming
• Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience in current and future state data mapping.
• Identify qualified/approved records for system upload.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies (format, content, values).
• Work with business team members on resolving quality issues.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Well-rounded experience in the whole data lifecycle management and hands-on experience in the following data management domains: dimensional and relational data modeling, data quality, SQL programming (minimum 5 years), ETL development, metadata management and master data management, business intelligence and database administration.
• Experience with reverse engineering the source to target mapping to gain data insights
• Experience refactoring existing SQL code to new/alternate data sources.
• Work experience with IFRS9 initiatives

Other Skills Required:

• Experience with Azure Data Platform technologies or other public cloud offerings
• Programming experience: SQL, R, Python
• Experience with Databricks
• Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, time management, priority planning and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand and interpret requirements and design documents
• Ability to write and maintain documentation

Assets:

• Experience working in an Agile environment/team
• Experience with Moody’s Analytics or Moody’s data
• Bilingualism in both official languages (English and French)
• Greater than 5 years of SQL development and refactoring existing SQL
