We're a well-established lumber yard located in Spruce Grove, AB, looking for dedicated Class 3 Driver to join our team on a seasonal basis (May-October), with the potential to become a full-time employee.
Our ideal candidate is someone who values growing with our company, working in their local community, and taking pride in their work.
Relevant work experience is an asset but is not necessary for the position.
We offer a negotiable wage based on experience. We also offer benefits package includes dental care, extended health care, and vision care for those who qualify for full time .
Our schedule includes 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, and opportunities for overtime and weekend work.
Requirements
- Valid Class 3 Driver's license
- Minimum 4-5 years experience
- Air Brake endorsement (Z)
- Clean Drivers Abstract
Assets
- Defensive driving course
- forklift ticket / experience (will be required to use Moffett forklift)
- Standard First Aid certificate
Responsibilities
- As a Class 3 Driver, reporting to the Manager you will deliver orders to addresses located across Alberta.
- Operate various trucks, Tandem and single axle
- Ensure safety and emergency equipment is in good working order
- Establish and maintain effective communication with colleagues
- Consult with supervisor and crew regarding any operational deficiencies
- Comply with applicable legislation including safe operation, carriage of passengers, driver's hours, and occupational health and safety
- Maintain daily logs, inspection logs and other necessary paperwork
