Job Description
The Project Manager, Digital Health will be responsible for strategic system implementation / integration initiatives. Overseeing all components of the project life cycle, inclusive of business proposals, procurement, planning, execution and delivery. Working closely in partnership and collaboration with external partners, hospital clinical and non-clinical operations to achieve successful end-user adoption. This role will work with a number of different internal and external stakeholders at all levels from executive to front-line staff. The ideal candidate will have a proven success track record on large-scale healthcare information technology (IT) system implementations, transformational change management, team building and coordinated execution. The incumbent will also have a good understanding of Ontario’s healthcare landscape in both the acute care and community care setting, and strategically apply solutions to existing challenges.

- The Digital Health Project Manager will embody excellence in customer service, commitment to high quality communications and a strong focus on relationship development with project stakeholders
- Responsible for project plan and timeline development, project budget control and tracking, strategy development to align with Mackenzie Health’s Digital Health vision of the smart hospital and ultimately the execution of the project to successful delivery
- Managing project expectations appropriately throughout delivery to ensure risks are clearly identified and mitigation strategies are in place to minimize impact
- Collaborating closely with operational key leaders and staff who are supporting clinical and non-clinical programs, third party vendors and other organizational teams
- Requirements gathering, workflow development and process mapping for both current and future state to support a successful change
- Managing project activities and project progress
- Developing business cases and proposals as needed
- Project status reporting on a regular basis to all levels of leadership
- Providing change management expertise and leadership to project team members
- Facilitates the implementation and utilization of tools and templates for project delivery
- Helps define metrics that allow the team to measure and track outcomes to ensure we are meeting the strategic goals of the project
What must you have?
Baccalaureate Degree required preferably in in business administration, health informatics, technology or health related discipline or recognized equivalent required.Masters degree preferred, preferably business administration, health informatics, technology or health related discipline or recognized equivalent preferredMinimum 3 years of relevant work experience in a healthcare setting and 3 years experience in a project management capacity or Minimum 3+ years of experience in project management or leading complex change initiatives in healthcare environments such as hospitals, government or private sectorCertified Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred or working towards the PMP designationITIL Certification an assetWhat else do you bring?
