About the Opportunity
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Bilingual Labour Relations Officer to lead a dynamic and team on a permanent basis. The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, free parking onsite, and a competitive compensation package.
Duties include but are not limited to :
- Lead, manage, and develop the internal Labour Relations, Membership Services, and Finance team
- Manage and oversee legislated and contractual representation obligations
- Provide assistance and sound advice to the National President, National Vice President, and National Council
- Support operational, political, and strategic goals of the union
- Lead the internal team to ensure efficient operations and delivery of services
- Provide training and oversight to ensure compliance with union by-laws and collective agreements
- Advise on multi-jurisdictional labour legislative authorities and ensure compliance
- Assist in the development and implementation of union policies and procedures
- Collaborate with senior leadership to achieve union objectives
- Manage finances in alignment with organizational goals and budgetary guidelines
About You
The successful candidate will have the following :
Post-secondary degree in Labour Relations, Political Science, Law, Social Sciences, or a related disciplineFluent bilingualism in English and French is a mustMinimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position in grievance or adjudication processes, or equivalent experienceStrong knowledge of labour relations and regulationsAbility to analyze, interpret, and execute collective agreements, employment legislation, and policiesAbout the Job
The position offers $100,000 to $118,000 per annum dependent on experience.
