Teamsters 213 Joint Training School (JTS 213) has a vacancy in their Driver Training Division and invites interested and qualified candidates to apply for the position of MELT Driving / Air Brakes Instructor.

As a successful candidate you will be working as a member of the JTS 213 Training Team and working under direction of the Administrator of Training and Professional Development to plan, organize, develop, deliver and evaluate driving programs and activities. The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills (both oral and written), strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work as a team member to accomplish specific goals. You require the ability to plan, produce, implement and deliver driving programs and initiate and foster change and innovation for the program. The successful candidate will also possess extensive knowledge of the Motor Vehicle Act, National Safety Code and any other Acts or Regulations that pertain to the commercial driving industry.

For the right candidate there may be the opportunity to advance to a supervisory role and or branch off to other educational disciplines within the JTS 213 Training and Professional Development Division.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Experienced MELT Instructor / Driving Instructor. (Class 3) (Certified)
• Experienced Air Brakes Instructor (Certified)
• Previous experience “on the road driving”.
• Clean driving record (Must provide drivers abstract) (points will be evaluated on merit)
