Project

The Woodfibre LNG Project is located approximately 7 km west-southwest of Squamish, British Columbia. It involves the construction and operation of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) export facility on the previous Woodfibre pulp mill site, which would have a storage capacity of 250,000 m3 and would produce approximately 2.1 million tons per year of LNG.

Woodfibre Management Ltd. is a privately held Canadian company based in Vancouver and a subsidiary of Pacific Energy Corporation Limited.

Position

The Supply Chain Manager  is an integral part of Woodfibre LNG ’s dynamic team. You will be responsible to execute all procurement and contracting management support for the Company. This includes strategic sourcing, pre-qualification of local suppliers and subcontractors, preparation of tender packages and evaluation reports, managing shipping logistics, warehousing, management of changes, claims etc. This position is based in Vancouver, with some travel to the Squamish site and Houston project office, as required. The successful candidate reports directly to the Head of Procurement and Supply Chain and will act as a Subject Matter Expert in the implementation of the  2025 SAP implementation at Woodfibre. The role will play an essential part in supporting the company transition from the construction phase into the start-up and operations phases of the project.

Key Responsibilities :

The successful applicant will :

  • Be a key member of the WLNG  Procurement team, responsible for procurement, contracting, warehousing, subcontract requirements, and LNG Operations requirements.
  • Provide strategic support and insights to Head of Procurement & SCM on executive reporting for better business decision making. Identify contract spend consolidation opportunities, increase company bargain power on the market, and optimize internal procurement processes / cost-effectiveness.
  • Steward the end to end Contracting and Procurement processes for Woodfibre LNG,, encompassing sourcing, purchasing, shipping, and warehousing activities.
  • Manage strategic sourcing and supplier qualification, optimizing sourcing strategies and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
  • Procure goods and services for the Business Units in line with budget and business plan.
  • Manage Procure to Pay end to end process to ensure competitiveness and compliance (with the company’s regulations and all Squamish Nation bidding requirements and fully support the application of the Impact Benefit Agreements).
  • Manage contract administration and supplier performance to ensure contractors fulfilling contractual obligations.
  • Prepare regular reports on the status of contracts, shipments, and warehousing activities, providing insights into procurement and logistics operations.
  • Resolve contract payment and compliance disputes where needed.
  • Implement and interpret the company’s policies and procedures correctly; develop, recommend and coordinate the implementation of continuous improvement projects related to Contracting and Procurement.
  • Support the implementation of company’s procurement processes in SAP (2025) and support the roll-out of SAP-Procurement in the company (2025 & beyond).
  • Provide support to Houston-based PMT Procurement organization as needed.

Requirements

Required Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting & finance, engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
  • 10 + years’ experience in contracts management and procurement, preferably in oil & gas with strong knowledge of project procurement and operations procurement.
  • 5+ years of experience in managing contracts and familiar with contract laws with the ability to draft, amend or revise contract clauses confidently and appropriately.
  • 5+ years of direct experience in materials management and warehousing to ensure efficient handling, storage, and distribution of goods in alignment with operational requirements.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Proven ability to work with multiple business units, including EPC, operations and other end users to ensure the scope of work is accurate and complete.
  • Excellent negotiation techniques with strong can-do attitude and owner mentality.
  • Extensive experience working in matrix medium to large organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing contracting and procurement processes down to the end user level.
  • Additional Requirements :

  • Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams, contractors in a multicultural environment is an asset.
  • Communication / interpersonal skills – to be able to interact confidently with management and all hierarchical levels.
  • Self-starter, able to function effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Accepts responsibility and demonstrates commitment to delivery of tasks and targets      .
  • Ability to be innovative and vision-oriented with demonstrated ability to undertake both strategic planning and implementation.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities within tight time frames.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

  • As required, the position is based in Vancouver, BC, with the eventuality to relocate to Squamish (site).
