Maple Lodge Farms is Canada’s largest independently owned poultry processor. It engages in processing and supplying chicken products in Canada and internationally. It offers bacons, deli chicken meats, sliced packaged meats, fresh seasoned chicken, frozen boxed meats, and wieners. Maple Lodge Farms, Ltd. was founded in 1955 and is based in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

Facility Location : 8301 Winston Churchill Blvd, Brampton, ON L6Y 0A2

This position will focus primarily on data collection and analysis and will involve working with various departments to get the desired outcome.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

  • Requires working closely across various teams, to be innovative and display good interpersonal skills to establish and build good working relationships with the teams.
  • Require someone with initiative, problem solving and analytical skill and a desire to make a difference.
  • Four key initiatives of work :

1. Information accessibility

a. To outline a process that creates simple, daily access to key information such as drone photos and google images of farm layouts for use by planners to provide clear planned instruction to drivers while on site.

b. Involves both the creation and training of access, and the evaluation of inventory of images.

2. Data capture and analysis

a. Manage the standardized data collection and analysis of key indicators to evaluate the benefits of a new fan trailer system within Maple Lodge Farms in to cool birds on trailers during catch at farms.

3. New logistics and planning software integration

a. To learn and support the integration and training of the MTECH software system within Maple Lodge Farms logistics planning.

4. Transport monitoring system

a. Evaluate and recommend process improvements for a live bird transport sensor system.

b. Analyze data generated by the system to recommend improvements in live transport key indicators.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Knowledge in poultry and meat processing is preferred.
  • Must be enrolled in a related program in an accredited post-secondary institution.

  • Position is on-site; Work hours :  Maximum - 40 hours / week – Day shift Monday – Friday 8 : 30am – 5 : 00pm.
