What You’ll Do
Operate and maintain Loram’s specialized rail maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.Perform mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic maintenance—inspections, troubleshooting, repairs.Collaborate with teammates to ensure equipment performance and safety standards.Communicate effectively via radio, in‑person, and written methods.Follow FRA, OSHA, and Loram safety protocols.Participate in continuous training to improve skills and support career growth.Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.Valid driver’s license.Valid passport; eligible to enter the United States for training.No prior rail experience required—training provided.Strong teamwork, communication, and problem‑solving skills.Positive attitude, work ethic, eagerness to learn and grow.Commitment to safety and industry standards.Proficient in English, verbal and written communication.What to Expect
Travel 100% of the time, including international.Rotational field assignments (6–8 weeks) with long workdays (12+ hrs).Physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions.Extensive walking, climbing, lifting (75+ lbs.) and confined spaces or heights.Exposure to unique challenges and opportunities to develop practical, in‑demand skills.Physical Requirements
Comfortable working in challenging outdoor environments.Walk 5–9 miles per day on uneven terrain.Climb ladders and step up 36 inches multiple times daily.
Lift and handle tools / equipment weighing 75+ lbs.Meet vision and hearing requirements for day and night operations.Work Visas
