We’re on the hunt for a Structural Analyst specialized in Electronic Packaging on our Satellite systems team at our Montreal office.

Role

In a multidisciplinary engineering team, contribute to the development of state-of-the-art space electronic units and subsystems by performing their structural analyses.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate numerically, analytically and / or experimentally stiffness, strength & durability of equipments & sub-systems.
• Identify problems, propose modifications or improvements to the design and then approve the mechanical design.
• Generate analysis reports as well as mechanical test procedures and reports.
• Support manufacturing.
• Validate and prove the mechanical design by performing tests according to thermal & dynamic environments.
• The analyst will also be called upon to coordinate & supervise more junior analysts or subcontractors performing the tasks described above.

Qualifications Required

The candidate must have at least a master’s degree in mechanical engineering or physics or materials science or an equivalent. Minimum 10 years of experience in the industry.

Successful candidates must obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level, and pass security assessment for the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and ITAR.
