Position Details
Position : Production Operator
Location : 11105 Bridge Road, Surrey, BC, V3V 3V2
Type : Permanent; Position type : Hourly
Reports to : Production Supervisor
Work Hours : Initial training schedule Monday to Thursday 5 : 30 a.m. – 4 : 00 p.m. After training, schedule 3 : 30 p.m. – 1 : 30 a.m. Monday to Thursday.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform packaging, operate production equipment, and perform housekeeping duties as required.
- Operate equipment efficiently to produce high‑quality products.
- Prioritize safety and housekeeping in all activities.
- Know and comply with all safety rules, model programs, and production department procedures.
- Cooperate in a team environment and maintain consistent attendance.
- Promote and enforce safety among crew members.
- Develop and maintain good employee morale and working relationships within the department and with other departments.
- Assist in implementing USG / CGC Model Programs, Safety Rules, VWIs / JSAs, and SOPs.
- Carry out special projects and assignments as directed by management.
- Support the company's vision of Continuous Improvement (CI) and 5S methodology, fully engaging and contributing to these objectives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma required.Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.Hands‑on experience operating production equipment is an asset.Able to work flexible hours and all shifts.Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work as a team.Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Demonstrates ability to adapt to changing business conditions to support the needs of the department.Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.People and results‑oriented; incorporates and emphasizes safety and quality in all daily work.Working Conditions
