Job Summary
Responsible for the set-up / qualification and operation of the filling / packaging equipment to ensure effective processing of the line.
Shift- 8 Hours rotating shift between (Day / Afternoon / Midnight) shift.
Job Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in all the accountabilities of a Technician, Packaging P03
- Function as a packaging team member with additional equipment setup and troubleshooting responsibilities
- Ensure equipment is running at the correct run rates
- In conjunction with Technician, Packaging Maintenance, diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic problems and expedite repairs
- Continually develop skills and progress to increasingly more complex maintenance tasks
- Follow SOD’s and acceptable industry practices to develop basic electrical and strong mechanical troubleshooting capabilities
- Key Player in training packaging technicians on equipment set-up and basic troubleshooting
- Support team members to deliver expected business results
- Perform all tasks in the safest possible manner and maintain good housekeeping practices
- Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

Job Requirements
Education2 to 5 years’ technical experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry preferred and successful completion of the PEDQP (Packaging Employee Development & Qualification Program) Technical Skill Enhancement Program or 2 to 3-year College diploma in a technical programKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesProven preventative maintenance skills, and ability to positively influence team resultsAbility to work within a team environment as a key member of the teamExcellent English communication skills, both verbal and writtenBasic knowledge of electrical, hydraulics and pneumaticsKnowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)Ability to work any shift, including weekendsExperienceProven computer literacy with Microsoft Office programs and familiarity with SAP or other ERP systemsDirect packaging technical or operational experience preferredAt Apotex, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, accessible work environment, where all employees feel valued, respected and supported.
