Summary
Job Summary :
Order Pickers are responsible for picking store orders and delivering them to the staging lanes in a manner that meets company standards for safety, security, and productivity.
They are responsible for the completeness and correctness of all orders filled. Excellent opportunity for students.
Specific duties and responsibilities :
- Pick store orders efficiently for shipment, ensuring that the tag on the front and back of the skids match the store for which orders are being picked
- Transport orders to shipping locations or staging lanes with the use of double or single pickers
- Stencil, tag, or mark orders accurately
- Inspect the machinery before the start of the shift and report on any visible or audible defects
- Conduct physical inventories as required during the inventory period
Specific requirements :
- Able to lift up to 25 kg (50 lbs).
- Read and count accurately, simple maths skills and write legibly.
- By flexible to work shift (evening, nights and weekends).
Asset qualifications :
- Experience in a warehouse and driving a low lift pallet truck.
- Able to use an electronic tracking system such as a bar code.
