Reporting to the Director of Operations, Specialized Community Services; your role will ensure organizational effectiveness by providing strong leadership for the organization’s operational functions in our homes in Brandon. You will formulate and implement departmental and organizational policies to maximize output, and create an environment that exemplifies CBI values, ensuring excellent service that improves health and enriches lives.
Your role
- Work with the Clinical Care Managers / Team Leads to ensure daily operations meet licensing and CBI standards, and provide direction aligned with policies and professional conduct.
- Create an environment that aligns with CBI’s purpose and values, attracting high‑performing talent.
- Collaborate with the Director / SMO to deepen relationships with partners, increase volume, and identify new service opportunities.
- Manage daily operation of residences to assure quality services, meeting therapeutic and safety needs per CBI Philosophy and regulations.
- Provide team leadership, schedule staff, conduct onboarding and training, and ensure performance expectations.
- Monitor client and staff safety, minimize risks, and maintain a safe environment.
- Oversee maintenance of residences and equipment, ensuring inspections meet safety, codes and licensing requirements.
- Ensure platforms stocked with groceries and supplies.
- Collaborate with Clinical Care Manager on hiring, monthly outing plans, and following through on support plans.
- Liaise with Operations, People & Culture, IT, Marketing, Finance, Quality & Risk to share best practices and collaborate on initiatives.
- Ensure contractual obligations are met, aligned with budget and business needs.
- Analyze monthly financial and KPI reports; take action.
What You Will Need To Be Successful
Post‑secondary education in Health Facility Operations, Business, Public Administration or related discipline.2‑5 years of management experience in an operations role; experience in health care or residential home management is an asset.Track record of successful healthcare operations or residential home management.Professionalism and ability to inspire teamwork.Good communication and organizational skills, ability to multitask.Commitment to positive client and family experience.Valid driver’s licence and insurance; ability to travel between homes.Understanding of health equity, diversity and inclusion strategies.Computer literate; proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook.Flexibility with schedule for on‑call duties.Experience managing within a unionised environment.Strong knowledge of health care service system and management in home and community care.Join us at CBI Home Health – where working together makes great things happen
