THEROLE

We are currently seeking a Retail Buyer passionateabout great local food to join our Procurement team! Previous experience with procurementin a retail operation is required for this position. The Retail Buyer isresponsible for supporting the strategic and forward-looking purchasing needsof The Root Cellar to help the business remain competitive. This includesworking collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure business growth and successwhile supporting the overall business goals.

• Business Development : Lead and support expanding revenue streams and restaurant sales pop-ups and new initiatives.
• New product sourcing : Attend industry trade shows meets with new andcurrent vendors and analyzes competitor offerings to expand in-store productselection.
• Advertising Strategy : Support the Procurement Manager with ad programdevelopment and maintenance and support with planning and executing holidayand special event procurement.
• Implement and maintainin-store programs to increase customerloyalty and margin contribution.
