Mechanical Designer

Thinkpath Engineering Services (TES) is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work onsite at a customer located in Brantford, ON. This will be a 6 month contract position.

Job Description

· Reverse engineering of a commercial oven

· Design of commercial and industrial equipment using SolidWorks

· Create manufacturing and assembly drawings using SolidWorks

· Creating sheet metal and machine component drawings

· Conceptual design of large-scale equipment from specified design parameters

· Preparation and checking of mechanical engineering drawings consisting of weldments, custom sheet metal components, piping, conveyors and electrical control assemblies

Qualifications

· College Diploma or University Degree preferably in Engineering

· Three (3) years experience using 3D SolidWorks and AutoCAD in a manufacturing environment

· Extensive knowledge of sheet metal design parameters, laser, punching and bending processes

· Extensive mechanical knowledge

· 2D AutoCAD/Draftsight for layout drawings and other various applications is an asset

· Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.)
