Key Responsibilities :
Lead and mentor a team of 1 Payroll Analyst & 2 Payroll AssociatesProvide coaching, technical guidance, and performance oversightManage bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timelinessOversee payroll audits and ensure compliance with provincial and federal legislationDevelop and implement payroll process enhancementsEnsure payroll systems align with legislative and regulatory updatesLead T4 and T4A processing, perform reconciliations, and collaborate with auditorsAct as a liaison between Payroll, Finance, HR, and external stakeholdersCommunicate payroll changes and updates to relevant teamsManage payroll-related projects, track progress, and align with financial goalsQualifications :
5+ years of payroll leadership experiencePayroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification (mandatory)Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) designation (preferred)Strong knowledge of federal and provincial payroll legislationExperience with year-end processes & T4 creationProcess improvement expertise with a track record of driving efficiencyPayroll systems management experience (preferred)Healthcare payroll experience (an asset)Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skillsAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
