Position: Catering Supervisor
Department: Hospitality
Reports to: Manager, Catering
We are inviting enthusiastic, passionate individuals to join our event staff team and contribute to Canucks games, Warriors games, and concerts at Rogers Arena. This is an hourly, primarily events-based position.
Position Summary
Each supervisor plays an integral role in leading staff within the Premium Hospitality department and delivering exceptional service to fans and guests. With a positive, energetic approach, supervisors will build, coach and motivate a high-performing team with a focus on excellence, passion and quality product and service.
A Typical Shift Includes
- Lead your team and provide ongoing coaching and recognition to ensure excellent hospitality and an exceptional fan experience.
- Contribute to building a high-performance team by actively partnering with all staff at Rogers Arena.
- Complete post-event administrative tasks such as product orders, gratuities disbursements and staff hours submissions.
- Other duties as required.
Required Experience And Qualifications
- Passion and commitment to work all Vancouver Canucks home games.
- Ability to work weeknights, weekends, and holidays with varied start times (event-based).
- Leading passion for the hospitality business and a desire to learn and grow in hospitality.
- Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive walking, reaching, and bending.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated background in fine dining and supervisory skills, including leading teams, maintaining standards, and coaching for improved performance.
- Ability to stay calm and react appropriately with minimal supervision.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while ensuring a first-in-class food and beverage experience.
- Excellent on-the-spot problem solving and service recovery skills to a fan’s satisfaction.
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Valid Serving It Right certificate.
- Non-Canadian residents must hold a valid work permit expiring no earlier than January 2026.
