Digital Design Researcher On behalf of our client in the Banking Sector, PROCOM is looking for a Digital Design Researcher. Digital Design Researcher - Job Description

  • The Design Researcher will join team that supports both new-to-bank clients and existing clients in opening new accounts or acquiring new services through self-serve and advisor-assisted digital channels
  • The Design Researcher will support their design team and journey in identifying the need for, planning, implementing or supporting the implementation of research activities that support the key objectives and strategic priorities of the journey
  • Planning, designing and implementing research activities of medium to high complexity to evaluate prototypes or design proposals, or generate key insights on prospect and client needs, disposition, habits, preferences, etc.
  • Moderating research sessions with internal and external users
  • Creating unbiased, non-leading questions for moderated or unmoderated research activities
  • Collating, synthesizing, analyzing, translating, summarizing and / or presenting data and findings from research activities to stakeholders across the journey, including senior stakeholders
  • Working with design team colleagues and journey stakeholders to evaluate and prioritize potential research topics, questions, and activities against key objectives for the journey
  • Providing training and support to non-research design team members to conduct research activities in accordance with best practices and standards

Digital Design Researcher - Mandatory Skills

  • BA / BS degree in Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Information Studies, Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field or equivalent practical experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in research
  • Technical understanding of design research theory / design research tools
  • Working knowledge of a variety of design research methodologies
  • Planning and implementing complex design research activities
  • Effectively analyzing, translating, summarizing and presenting research findings to senior stakeholders
  • Defining and delivering training on research best practices for design team members or other colleagues
  • Creating Figma prototypes for use in user research
  • Must be proficient in English for both written and verbal communication

  • Appreciation for the potential of 'design thinking'
  • Experience working within a large organization and within an agile environment
  • Experience contributing to the launch of a digital product
