Job descriptionPosition: Director of finance Location: LaSalle (Hybrid - 4 days in-office)Job Type: Full-TimePosition Summary:A leading manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Director of Finance to provide strategic and operational leadership across its finance function. This role will oversee all plant-level financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A activities. The Director of Finance will also play a key role in supporting acquisitions, integration projects, and long-term financial governance initiatives.The ideal candidate is a results-driven finance leader with strong analytical capabilities, a passion for operational excellence, and the ability to partner effectively across corporate and plant-level teams.Key Responsibilities:- Lead and oversee the month-end close process across multiple sites, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.- Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations; ensure prompt resolution of reconciling items.- Drive standardization of plant-level financial reporting and processes.- Direct and coordinate annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles.- Develop and enhance FP&A reporting frameworks that deliver actionable insights aligned with strategic objectives.- Oversee inventory accounting, costing, physical counts, and valuation processes.- Ensure compliance with internal control frameworks and financial reporting standards.- Support acquisition due diligence and lead post-acquisition financial integration.- Partner with operations and senior leadership to identify opportunities for cost optimization, margin improvement, and efficiency gains.-Collaborate with external auditors and other financial stakeholders.- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals.Qualifications:- CPA designation (CA, CMA, or CGA) required.- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including leadership in a multi-site manufacturing or industrial environment.- Strong understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance requirements.- Experience in M&A, including due diligence and integration, is an asset.- Proven track record of process improvement and team development.- Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.- Advanced Excel proficiency and strong ERP system experience (knowledge of consolidation or reporting tools is an asset).Why Join Us:This is an opportunity to join a well-established and growing manufacturing organization, where you'll have direct impact on financial strategy, operations, and business performance.
