Your Role And Key Responsibilities
- The Outbound Logistics Process Specialist is responsible for coordinating all activities related to the planning and control of outbound shipments of finished battery cells.
- In the ramp‑up phase, this role defines, aligns, adopts and implements outbound logistics standard processes, including defining IT software requirements.
- In the series phase, the Specialist ensures that shipment schedules are met by monitoring finished goods inventory and aligning with dispatch timelines.
- The Specialist manages all logistics‑related claims, including investigating complaints, processing claims, and arranging replacement deliveries as needed.
- Conducts complaint analyses, identifies root causes, and collaborates with cross‑functional teams to define and implement corrective and preventive measures that enhance overall logistics performance.
- Participates in a flex‑hybrid work structure, working remotely and on‑site at St. Thomas.
What You Bring To The Team
Implement and localize PowerCo standard logistics processes and information flows with a focus on outbound / customer logistics for the St. Thomas facility.Define local adaptations to outbound / customer logistics processes based on standards and concepts from PowerCo SE in Germany, continually improving efficiency and ensuring scalability.Define regional guidelines for all partners in the distribution chain for a standardized process for customer service and align with PowerCo headquarters.Align processes with North American and overseas customers regarding orders, shipments, documentation, packaging, labeling, transportation, and claims management.Plan, define, and implement import and export processes for PowerCo Canada in alignment with internal departments, external service providers, and Canadian customs regulations.Serve as SAP key user for customer / outbound processes (S / 4HANA, SD, YM, PP, MM), including user requirement gathering, UAT coordination, first‑level support, training, and process improvement.Control dispatch activities according to the dispatch schedule and secure operational carrier capacity.Monitor and manage finished goods inventory to ensure timely order fulfillment and collaborate with production steering and other departments to adhere to the dispatch plan.Receive, investigate, and process logistics‑related customer complaints and coordinate material returns, transport arrangements, and inventory adjustments.What Makes You Stand Out
Post‑secondary diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.3‑5 years of experience in a similar role.Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP, APICS / ASCM) or equivalent.Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (PLog, CLTD, APICS / ASCM) or equivalent.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and presentation preparation.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify and implement process enhancements.Understanding of container management and returnable packaging processes is an asset.Prior experience in the automotive industry (Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier) or other high‑volume, quality‑critical manufacturing environments.Proven background in working with ERP systems, preferably SAP (SD, PP, MM modules).Experience with international shipping, customs documentation, and export compliance is an asset.Demonstrated success in process flow optimization, continuous improvement projects, or Lean / Six Sigma initiatives.Strong understanding of shipping and transportation processes, including carrier management and freight claims.What To Look Forward To
