The Opportunity

Wereseeking a Finish Excavator Operator to join our team in the Fraser Valley supporting civil construction projects across the region.

As a Finish Excavator Operator,youllwork witha crew on site to get daily work done safely and on time.Youllwork hands-on with a skilled crew in the field, ensuring safety, and efficiency every step of the way. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, tackling big challenges, and being part of projects that shape communities.

Although we are a union affiliated organization, being an active member is not a prerequisite.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Cut and finish grades for ditches, berms, and slopes to design elevations and tolerances,maintainingprecise line, level, and crossfall while meeting production, safety, and quality standards.
• Perform excavation and grading safely around multiple existing utilitiescoordinatelocates, maintain required clearances, use spotters, and follow utility maps and procedures.
• Loading trucks, spreading material, digging trenches.
• Safelyoperatein accordance withcompany and WorkSafeBC standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Conduct daily inspections on machines prior to use.
• Participate in daily / weekly site meetings.
• Communicate updates and issues to the Field Supervisor / Superintendent ; request support as needed.
• Able toassistground crewif needed or perform other generallabourduties asrequired.
