JD Sports is a global powerhouse in sports fashion and outdoor retail, renowned for its seamless integration of physical and digital shopping experiences.

Founded in 1981 with a single store in Manchester, England, the JD Group has since grown into a leading international retailer, operating more than 4,500 stores across 36 countries.

Known for its compelling customer proposition, JD Sports combines globally recognized brands like Nike and Adidas with exclusive in-house labels such as Pink Soda and Supply & Demand, delivering a unique, omnichannel retail experience.

In 2021, JD Sports made its entry into the Canadian market, rapidly establishing a strong presence with 30 stores across British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec.

As the brand continues to grow its footprint in Canada, there is a critical opportunity to expand its digital operations, which are integral to its omnichannel strategy.

The Director of Ecommerce will play a pivotal role in leading this digital expansion. As JD Sports Canada aims to become a market leader in sports fashion retail, the Director of Ecommerce will be at the forefront of this transformation, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of eCommerce initiatives.

This role offers the opportunity to innovate and drive JD’s eCommerce growth strategy, leveraging the company’s digital assets to strengthen its competitive position in the Canadian market.

The Director will be tasked with enhancing digital performance, managing the eCommerce P&L, and supporting the company’s long-term objectives through data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate for this role will have extensive experience in eCommerce operations, with deep knowledge of omnichannel strategies and digital technologies that power eCommerce.

They should have a proven track record of successfully implementing cross-channel initiatives in fast-paced environments, as well as proficiency in eCommerce platforms.
