The Opportunity
Our Energy subsector, a key component of WSP’s ERI (Energy, Resources and Industry) sector, supports clients from coast to coast. From small installations to multi‑phase integrated megaprojects, we support upstream, midstream, or downstream oil and gas activities and energy transition markets at all stages of the project lifecycle, anywhere in the world. We are focused on providing design, engineering and environmental services that contribute to climate adaptation and mitigation, sustain the use and protection of water and marine resources, protect and restore biodiversity, and support our clients as they transition to low carbon solutions.
To meet our growth challenges, WSP is currently seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our teams located in any one of our Canadian offices with preference for Calgary, AB, Moncton, NB, Kitchener, ON.
Join our vibrant and rapidly expanding team across Canada, where you'll tackle complex energy projects from initial concepts to detailed engineering. As an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer , you will work on mechanical engineering deliverables in collaboration with various disciplines to ensure we meet our project goals. You will support multiple types of clients (Independent Power Producers, Municipal Electric Utilities, Investor‑Owned Utilities, Contractors, and Developers), address their challenges, and implement power grid systems of the future. In doing so, you will work on a wide range of power plant technologies including biomass, geothermal, hydrogen, renewable natural gas, fossil fuel, carbon capture, battery energy storage, and hydro.

Salary range (in British Columbia)
$96,200–$132,200. The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
