Position Description
- Manage and ensure fill rate levels are met and engage with suppliers to schedule / expedite deliveries and resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and resolve invoice discrepancies
- Analyze product availability via reports, then place purchase orders with accurate purchase price, contact suppliers, update ETAs, organize logistics, receive product and allocate back orders
- Coordinate all inbound and outbound traffic, maximizing cost-effectiveness and tracking all consignments
- Work closely with the Sales Director to ensure the best supply chain solutions are achieved
- Be client facing and therefore you will be required to develop and maintain good client relationships delivering the very best in customer service
- Prepare management reports, as well as analyze statistical data
Experience
3-5 years of previous experience in purchasing, inventory, supply chain or related field.
Qualifications
Required:
- Intermediate level in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access)
- Purchasing accounting practices experience
- Inventory control practices and freight management
- Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) would be an asset
Education
Supply Chain Certificate or PMAC designation would be an asset.
