The Artificial Lift Field Specialist Trainee is responsible for maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable product and service delivery. The role includes Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) installations and pulls, start‑up, and troubleshooting. The trainee identifies opportunities to improve service delivery, implements standard work, and manages risk during service delivery.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for installation and pulls, start-up, and troubleshooting of ESP.
- Implement new and ongoing field processes.
- Follow standard work instructions and checklists to ensure efficient and correct completion of tasks.
- Stay informed about new and changing technology and procedures.
- Monitor operation of the ESP.
- Interface with client and rig crew on location.
- Participate in the Field Service team to share knowledge and experience.
- Apply lessons learned about safety and installation processes.
- Complete detailed paperwork on wellsite to document onsite activities and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
College diploma or associate degree in Electrical / Mechanical; equivalent experience including military experience considered.Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record.Previous oilfield experience desirable.Previous experience installing and troubleshooting ESP pumps a plus.Electric and mechanically inclined.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Good computer skills.Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in Canada, without sponsorship.Schlumberger Canada Limited is committed to workplace diversity and employment equity and supports initiatives to enhance employment opportunities for local workforces and Indigenous Persons.
